About the project

Kapramandi is a retail platform for a multi-shop clothing brand. It has two parts that share the same stock data: a point-of-sale app for the shops, and an online storefront for customers.

Chapter 03

Checkout: barcode scanning by camera or USB scanner, cash and card payments, item discounts and printed receipts. Returns: scan the returned item and the app finds the original sale, refunds what was paid and puts the item back in stock at its original shop. Stock: every garment has its own barcode, so each piece is tracked from delivery to sale to return, across shops and batches. Products and pricing: photo capture, size and colour variants, and bulk sale or price changes by percentage or amount. Reports, staff and recovery: sales, profit and VAT by shop, role-based staff access with attendance, and a Trash area to restore deleted records. Offline use: shops keep selling without internet, and data syncs when it returns. 2. Online storefront (Next.js) [In development, or: Live at kapramandi.co.uk, as applicable] Search visibility: product pages are rendered on the server, so Google can read each product, which helps customers find items through search. Speed: pages load quickly and images are automatically resized for each device, which matters on mobile. Link previews: shared links show the product photo and price on WhatsApp and social media. Shared stock: the shop and the website draw on the same stock figures, so a sale in a shop updates what customers see online. Payments: card, Apple Pay and Google Pay through Stripe, when checkout is built.
